[Feature] Option for minimizing the app to system tray

Open morozover opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Now when I open the app on Windows it shows icon in system tray and panel on taskbar.

It would be great to have an option for minimizing the app to system tray (not showing panel on taskbar). It will able to create more clearer screencasts hiding unnecessary panels on taskbar except the apps you are working with

This is the responsibility of the desktop environment. And can be configured in KDE Plasma, for example. If this is not the case in your desktop environment, please submit a feature request there.

hey, I was this or something similar too. When I first start vokoscreen it goes into the tray. which is awesome, but after changing something in the setting and then pressing the x it closes. I would rather prefer to go back into the tray then closing.

Thank you for the application.

Hello dear VKohaupt Thank you for the great app! I use it all the time. I double the request. It's a very useful feature. For example, a screenshoter KSnip, Hiddify app, an OpenRGB app and many more have one, and it works both in Plasma and in GNOME DE. It would be great if by clicking on close window button a user could minimize the app to the system tray, maybe (and preferably) it should be an optional setting. It saves the space on a task bar, and starting the screen recording is very convenient by a hotkey. Please consider adding such a functionality to the VokoscreenNG 🙏🏼
