VokoscreenNG does not work when recording Brave browser window

I am attempting to record my screen using "Window" mode in Brave browser, and the Vokoscreen video shows up black, showing my cursor moving around in a weird way. You can see an example here:

VokoscreenNG has no problem recording the same way in Firefox.

I can't imagine what the problem is, I haven't done anything in Brave (that I know of) that would block the recording like this.

Start Brave, go to settings, look for hardware acceleration and disable it.

@vkohaupt thanks for the suggestion, I disabled hw acceleration and restarted Brave and it still doesn't work.

One year later, I install brave as flatpak. Delete the brave profile ~/.var/app/com.brave.Browser/

I make a record with using "Window" mode and is works fine, with and without Brave-Browser hardware acceleration.

Thanks for following up @vkohaupt. On VokoscreenNG 3.5.0 I actually don't even have the "Window" mode option anymore, so I have been using the "Area" mode and that has been working as expected. Testing this on Windows 10 OS.
