Display pressed key strokes

As a feature request: it would be great to display the pressed key strokes.

I just found "screenkey", try these options:

screenkey --mouse --no-systray -p top -s small

What about vokoscreen having instead a button that "launches" this already existing tool which looks cool ? (the only bad thing is that the position is not always optimal), suggesting to install the package if the command is not found?
