Enhanced Focus Mode with Minimalist Interface
-
Problem Description:
The F8 Focus Mode is a standout feature that significantly helps in maintaining concentration. However, I believe it can be further improved to eliminate distractions beyond the text content. -
Desired Outcome:
I would like to have additional settings in F8 Focus Mode that allow for the removal of any menu bars, buttons, or other interface elements, leaving only the text content visible. This would create a more immersive reading and writing environment, further enhancing concentration. -
Alternative Solutions Considered:
- Providing a "Minimalist Mode" toggle within F8 Focus Mode settings.

There is an option in Preferences to hide the footer bar, leaving only the buttons and title at the top. There should be no menu bar visible.
I can extend the functionality of this switch to also hide most buttons, but I would like to keep a single button to exit focus mode in case there are point-and-click users who prefer that over pressing F8.

Many people are used to watching videos in full-screen mode. In this mode, usually, no buttons are visible except for the video content itself, including the button to exit full-screen mode. However, when entering full-screen mode, a message typically appears at the center of the screen saying "Press ESC to exit full-screen" and then gradually fades away.
What if we design the focus mode of our software to mimic the full-screen mode that users are accustomed to when watching videos? This might allow users to apply their existing experience with video-watching directly, making our software easier to use.
Just a thought for your consideration.
