I have done a rewrite (and reimagining) of artifact. I wrote it in python. The rewrite is NOT compatible with this version, think of it as 3.0 beta.

Will this be the path for Artifact going forwards? If so, I would be interested in contributing to the python redesign when it is ready for additional contributors. Please let me know or tag me in issues on the new repository if you'd be interested in contributions 😄

Probably in the short term at least, yes. I would like it to be more usable within build systems that require the code to be included -- which unfortunately is difficult with rust at the moment.
