The guide linked to for migrating to v6 from v5 is actually from v6 to v7 now and the old one is not available anywhere on the site. I assume there was a mistake when uploading the newer migration guide. https://v6.vite.dev/guide/migration.html

I found the guide in the internet archive, but think for those on v5 trying to find a migration path to v6 and v7, it's currently quite confusing https://web.archive.org/web/20250609110312/https://vite.dev/guide/migration.html

It should be fixed along with https://github.com/vitejs/vite/issues/20294. v6.vite.dev is the same as vite.dev at the moment.
