"Stop action" doesn't terminate process

(Windows 8.1 32bit)

If I start a process using "file run" eg test.go , giving D:/programs/go/bin/go.exe run test.go [D:/go/src]

then attempt to stop the program "test.exe" using the "stop action" button in the command output the program isn't terminated.

Using task manager I find that test.exe is still running, can be terminated forcibly using taskkill /F /IM test.exe at cmd.exe

Haven't tested other filerun options.

Can the stop option be fixed/implemented thanks.
