Bad placement and offsets in rendering on MAC Retina and 4k screen

Open MBe-iUS opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug

When I use Visit on my recent MacBook all I can't get pleasant looking plots, because legends and axis titles and other things overlap or are to close to each other, or are way to small, etc.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior. For example:

  1. Use a MacBook with Retina display or a 4K screen
  2. Render a plot
  3. Check plot

Expected behavior

A nice plot with defined offsets and correctly scaled annotation objects / titles / axis

Go to Controls/Annotations. All of the font sizes are there. You can also change the font size for all of VisIt in Options/Appearance. You can save any changes you make to these attributes with Options/Save Settings.

Let me know if this solves your issue and if you have any further questions.

@MBe-iUS were you able to get smaller font sizes working?

Hi, sorry @JustinPrivitera, I missed my ping.

No, I finally used a different computer to have normal DPI.

It seems that @cyrush has solved the issue. Thanks!

No worries, can we close this then?
