Sandbox-only install missing vrcuntime140_1.dll
Occurs in current master and K2. The result is that the Sandbox server doesn't start up unless the DLL happens to be provided somewhere else in the Windows path. (Use where vcruntime140_1.dll
to see if Windows can find it.)
Repro:
- Windows installer (K2 or a recent PR build), elect to install only the Sandbox.
- Server Console runs (icon in taskbar) but its "Start Server" menu item doesn't work.
- Run domain-server.exe directly and the following dialog displays:
- Copy the DLL from a full install of Vircadia into the PR317 program directory, and the server starts and runs OK, and can be teleported to.
There are some other components missing as well; I tried installing Sandbox-only on an Azure VM and it wouldn't start up even though I copied that DLL into the install directory. No log file entries or Windows event viewer entries to indicate what was missing. Installing Interface + Sandbox enabled the Sandbox to run.
Confirmed that the problem is still present in Vircadia 2020.2.3.
