Chat initially just a pixel wide

Problem: Just after installing and opening the first stream, in some instances the chat window is just one pixel wide.

Manual Fix: To widen the chat bar this pixel has to be hit and then you can enlarge the chat bar.

Desired Outcome: The chat bar should be initially more then one pixel wide.
