No menu entry.

I installed bauh via pip3 and I can only launch it from a terminal.

At the moment the Python packaging setup allows to add additional files during the installation (like a menu entry/.desktop file), but does not remove them if you uninstall the application. That's the reason the current PyPi binaries do not contain the desktop entry. The AUR has it, since pacman properly removes all files when uninstalling the application.

Understandable, can I create this .desktop file manually or maybe you could share it (if it isn't system-specific)

Maybe some output with the information about no desktop file could be printed after the installation?

@RDKRACZ there are pre-defined desktop entries packaged with bauh. The README file has a tutorial about them: https://github.com/vinifmor/bauh#desktop-entry--menu-shortcut
