Form Validation having problem.

Let say I am writing some survey page. and there are some of the feedback in star rating let say if I use this code I unable to validate whether user have clicked or not clicked ?

There are plenty of form validation jquery plugins and if I use your star rating this does not go well with form validation because this plugin does not provide any input element.
