We never ask upstream for approval. There’s no point—either the cask works and can be accepted or it can’t.

@vineetchoudhary The app bundle’s name is a bit problematic for us. We have a strict token reference to avoid duplicates, and the current name is incredibly generic from a relatively unpopular repo. Would you consider changing the app’s name to something more explicit (e.g. Downloader for Apple Developers.app
) or is that out of the question?
That's probably too long and it'll get truncated in LaunchPad. I'd suggest something like "Apple Dev Downloader" or "Developer Downloader" for the display name or bundle name.
