[enhancement] Rework settings dialog
Hi,
the main window looks really nice, but the settings dialog looks ugly, to put it short. The whole content should fit into the window - there should be no scrolling. Furthermore, the tab bar looks ugly - especialliy on a mac.
If the window were bigger there would be no need for a scrollbar in the plugins view as well.
Version: 0.9.1
I agree the settings are ugly. Thanks for your input. The best would be an adaptable height window, but I'm not sure it is possible. I also don't want the size of the settings window to be too 'aggresive'. About the tabs, do you have any reference I could try to replicate? The main problematic is it has to look nice on Mac, Linux and Windows.
Why not integrate the settings as part of the main window? The sidebar could switch to hold the navigation tabs) and the content window holds the settings.
Take the iOS connection views in iTunes. They are fixed width but it still looks quite good.
Also I would move the gear icon to top right, besides the search box
It was like this in the past but I changed to have a more 'desktop' experience.
I'll probably try to mimic a basic MacOS settings window, as the tabs are actually very simple and look good on all OSs.
