there's a bug in the latest version, the colours for matcha-dark-aliz (red) and matcha-dark-sea (green) are off in the gnome-shell. you can see that by hovering and clicking in the places menu, system menu, arc menu...

matcha-gtk-theme version 20210708-1 Gnome 40.2.0 Manjaro

i did a quick-fix for people who do not want to wait until it's fixed. matcha-gtk-theme-20210708_fix.zip

  • unzip the file rename the config files in gnome-shell.css
  • replace the config files located in /usr/share/themes/Matcha-dark-aliz/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css and /usr/share/themes/Matcha-light-aliz/gnome-shell/gnome-shell.css

changed colours for matcha-dark-aliz: #ec271d replaced with: #F0544C #DD1C13 replaced with: #EE3e34

changed colours for matcha-dark-sea: #248a76 replaced with: #2eb398 #1e7664 replaced with: #299f87
