i changed the colors of everything in the .sass files and the gtk3 theme works fine, but the gtk2 still remains as if i was using default colors, is there anyway i should change more bg/fg variables to make it work on gtk2 too? (i use it to sync theme with qt applications =/ )

You need to change the svg files, then run ./render-assets.sh Also you need to change the color on rc files

@vinceliuice Tangentially related to this issue, inkscape seems to slow down/lock up when using the export script. Is there an alternative to inkscape that can do the same thing?

I believe this is the issue I'm encountering: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/1627
