It would be great to support Ahead-of-Time (AoT) compilation.

+1 here. This module breaks with Angular CLI 1.0.0-beta.22-1. Big controversy about Angular team requiring all modules to support AOT going foward.

Not having this is driving me insane. Any word on what we can do to make it happen? I'll do the work myself if I just know what needs to be changed.

Yes, the PR fixes the issue. The maintainer seems to be M.I.A.

I consider this project abandoned... :-(
