This is a great idea! I'll try to implement it when I get time. I also want work on https://github.com/camelot-dev/camelot/issues/13 and hope we don't need this enhancement on the excalibur...

I've opened a PR on camelot which will remove ghostscript as a dependency: https://github.com/camelot-dev/camelot/pull/198 I'm working towards a release, it's been slow because life is getting in the way.

Can you please post the traceback you got on the console where you ran `excalibur webserver`?
