text disappears from view

type the following in a md doc

- some text
-<esc>

where <esc> means to hit esc. The top line (some text) should vanish from view until you move the cursor over it.

This issue only appears to happen with - as the bullet point indicator, and not with * or +.

Also stumbled upon this problem. Any ideas what's causing the issue?

This is probably caused by the code that handles either horizontal lines or table headers (my guess is the second).
