feature request: Holiday Mode

Hello,

Is it possible to do API controls over Holiday Mode?

Could this be used to notify my AC system that nobody is home, so it can go to "sleep" mode (Holiday Mode) and save energy? I think this would be specially useful during winter season when outside unit could not be constantly preparing itself for usage (I have other heating source). So the truth is, simple on-off button would do just fine - if I can automate, I don't need schedule. If dates are needed by MEL, maybe a date +1 day/month/year would do.
