It is very unclear what was done.
I got the same bug.
I need more details.
Hi... I just installed Photo Editor Online and am having the same issue as the above users. My details are as follows:
- I installed Photo Editor Online in Chrome (Version 123.0.6312.106 (Official Build) (64-bit))
- I'm running on a new laptop, using Windows 11 Home
- I have images uploaded to Google Drive (jpegs)
- After installing Photo Editor Online, I double-click an image in Google Drive to open it (image size = 1.6 mb)
- Photo Editor Online opens and shows a white box in the middle of the screen (with Photo Editor Online)
- After about 5 seconds, the white box disappears and I'm left with the blank Photo Editor Online screen (as shown in the image uploaded by ilmg-22
- I've tried opening an image that is stored on my laptop (as opposed to on Google Drive) and the exact same thing happens
We've also installed it on a Mac in Firefox (version 124.0.1) and the same thing occurs.
I hope these are the details that you need in order to resolve this issue. The app seems to have many wonderful features. However, these features are meaningless if you can't open an image to work on with these features.
Please help us! Clem
Wait, you installed "Photo Editor Online" ? This GIT repository is about miniPaint app, which needs no install and can be accessed simply by going to https://viliusle.github.io/miniPaint/ Are you using some other modified version? And from where did you installed it?
When I say installed it, I mean I was in Google Drive and needed a free, online photo editor that could add mosaic. I did the following:
- Clicked the 3-dot menu for the image I wanted to modify
- Hovered on “Open with”
- Clicked on “Connect more apps”
- Entered “photo editor mosaic” in the search bar
- Found 2 apps, i.e., Photo Image Mosaic Editor and Free Photo Editor Online (your app)
I’ve attached a set of screenshots, labeled fpeo-#.png, showing how I “installed” it. After going through the “installation”, I tried to open a photo in your app by clicking the 3-dot menu next to the photo, hovering over “Open with” and clicking on “Photo Editor Online”. The editor opened with a white, empty square in the middle of its canvas, and, after a few seconds, the square disappeared and only the canvas was left. I tried opening an image from my desktop with it and the same thing happened. This time, however, the empty, white square remained. I’ve attached a second set of screenshots, labeled fpeo-issue-#.png, showing how it failed to open.
I’ve tried this on both a PC and a Mac as well as in Chrome and Firefox. The results are the same. As you saw from the other posts, I’m not the only one experiencing this. As I said in my post, this app seems like it has great potential. But, if you can’t open an image in it, that potential goes unrealized.
I’d really like it to work. I hope this explanation clarifies any questions you may have.
Respectfully,
Clem Patafio

Now I understand what happens. But there are few issues:
- that photo editor was modified version by somebody else. It has different name and logo. Official app name is miniPaint.
- miniPaint does not support google drive. Even if image could be opened, save to Google drive would not work. Feature is not there.
If you want to open image in miniPaint, you have to download image to computer, open miniPaint and open downloaded image or just drag & drop it.
Still this report can act like feature suggestion.
Thank you for your quick response, Vilius. I hope you find who is modifying your application.
By any chance, Vilius, do you have anything to do with Raspberry Pi devices? I ask because, several years ago, I purchased a Pi kit from Amazon and it was from a company called Vilius.
Thanks again…
