System Tray Support via GTK2 or Qt?

Perhaps this is the wrong place to ask, but since this is one of the better efforts to provide support of KDEConnect on other DE's I figured I would see what the response would be. I use a GTK2/Qt oriented system with system tray icons, and it would be be great to have this type of support for those who don't use GTK3 or Unity at all.

Hope to see GTK2 indicator too. And the same for bluedevil. Can not understand why developers of KDE are killing al it´s soft, making it more or less unusable without plasma.

I personally don't user neither gtk2 or qt desktop, so i won't support those system. But as always, patch are welcome
