Keep track labels on screen, even when zoomed in

Let's say we have a track. We see the track, and its label. All is fine.

Now let's zoom in on the track, especially the part not near the label.

Well now the label is off the screen, and we are looking at a seemingly anonymous track.

There should be a way for there always to be a label or two, still sitting on the screen, no matter the zoom level.

Currently the label is anchored at its spot of land, and if that spot goes off the screen, well, sorry, no more label.
