Lines May Disappear Upon Zooming

Viewing this KML, st.0.lines.kml.gz (unzip first), we see diagonal lines.

Now zoom. After zooming in three or four times, the lines disappear.

One thinks

Of course, we are now zoomed in so far that we are looking between two lines that are already off the screen, to either side.

But that is not the case. The lines have simply disappeared.

Turn on labels. The labels stay, but the lines go away.

Yes, I did

$ mv .config/viking .config/vikingOFF

and still could reproduce it. viking 1.10

This version, slim.kml.gz with only two nodes per line, doesn't trigger the bug.

So apparently too many nodes per line causes the lines to disappear upon zooming.

Hmm, this is interesting. Not sure what is happening here.

If one zooms in on Exmoor Country Club, the lines as you describe disappear ~ 42.192499, -87.813242

Whereas, just a bit further south on Glencoe Golf Club ~ 42.143785, -87.783179 - the lines are drawn all the time.
