Viking GPS on Mac OS Big Sur M1
Hi ! This is not an issue - apologies for probably not posting this on the right place. I've successfully compiled and installed Viking GPS on Mac OS Big Sur with Apple Silicon.
I'm posting it here to help others that like Viking and use a Mac with Big Sur on M1. Anyway, here are all the steps needed:

Hi @feiticeir0 ,
nice tuto man thank you! I also had to do this line brew install gtk-doc
to run ./autogen.sh
Also I don't know if it's related to mac but when I export a png image like big size, let's say zoom 8 and 4500 × 3200 for instance, the center is clear but only 30% of the map the sides are blurry do you know why? I guess it's because it's not cached by the software but how to do it?
For shortcut, just open it with terminal or double click with finder and hit Option/Keep in Dock with right click on the open terminal dock icon 👏

@73k05 IIRC when asked to Generate an image, Viking will only use existing downloaded tile images. Further I think if any tiles are missing then it will try to extrapolate from higher or lower available zoom level tiles, which results in comparatively blurry images.
What you can do, in order download the necessary tiles at the required zoom level for the area needed, is to set manually set the Map Layer property Zoom Level to the desired level; then zoom out on the view to cover the area wanted. This will result in requesting all the necessary tiles at that specific zoom level (albeit subject to inbuilt limits of requesting too many tiles and the Tile Usage policies by the service provider).
You'll need to be careful in this usage (e.g. you might get blocked by the service provider or worse a new blocking policy effects more users) and so it's best to return the Zoom Level back to Use Viking Zoom Level once done.
Wow @rnorris thank you for the tips, I tried and it worked, I'm very cautious as you told me it could have side effects accros other users 😱 I could export once successfully but now I have white output image, will wait and try again later... It's a big deal for me as I need to print maps for offline hiking in the alpes for several months 🙏🏽
