I'm getting the same issue. Did you have any luck understanding why this was happening, and found a solution?
OK... just in case anyone else is having trouble on this, the solution is just to run the program as administrator. You can change the default running on compatibility tab of properties windows. I also changed it to run in vista compatibility mode.... but im sure its just an admin issue.
unfortunately this is still happening even when running as admin. not after first game but randomly after some number of games
my suspicion is that this line from the script
FileDelete skip_save_popup
deletes the this file before stream is closed here
fclose(fopen("skip_save_popup", "w"));
might be wrong but not sure what it might be.
If thats the case then its a bit unlucky with timing, i had the game running no problem for 20 games but other time failing after 2
it also fails in such a way that i cannot get it detected by any of the apps that can restart it (e.g. RestartOnCrash)
any thoughts on how this can be resolved would be welcome
