[BUG] Calendar continues to count seconds in the fight

Open TrofimSelbs opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug Calendar continues to count seconds if the fight was started before game Pause was lifted

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open foundry
  2. While the game is paused go to some scene and add tokens there
  3. Select those tokens and start a fight
  4. Un-pause the game when the fight is already started and look and simple calendar widget

Expected behavior The calendar will not be counting seconds up, it will understand that this scene is active and it already has a fight

Have also been experiencing this bug, with all other modules disabled.

Foundry v11 Build 315. DnD5e System v2.4.1.

Not sure how long it's been happening, but installing previous versions of Simple Calendar still has the bug, so I suspect it's something that has changed in Foundry or the DnD5e system to break this.

Sorry I took so long to look into this.

In my testing it is working as expected, though there is a setting in Simple Calendar that can change how the clock determines when a combat is running.

The Pause Real Time Clock on Combat Rule

If it is set to Pause Only on the Active Scene then it will not pause the clock if a combat is started on a scene that is not the active one (indicated by a target icon). You can set a scene as active by righclicking on its name in the scene list and hitting Activate.

Setting it to Pause on the Scene the GM is Currently Viewing will pause the game clock anytime the GM is looking at a scene with an active combat on it. This works well, unless you jump between scenes a lot.

If both of you can check those settings and let me know if the issue still persists or not I would appreciate it.
