Issue: Can't search, Internal Server Error on Linux (elementaryOS)

Wanted to try running karaoke software on my laptop running elementaryOS which is Debian based, and I got piKaroke to install, but when I go to search, on the web browser it says "internal server error." Not sure if it has to do with my install or OS, but any help would be appreciated. I tried searching through the issues, but could not find anyone with similar problems.

I think I've seen 'Internal Server Error' with an RPi installation if a phone running the remote user app isn't on the same WiFi network as the host machine (the Pi, in my case). In this regard being on the Guest network is not the same as being on the primary network, if your router provides both.
