How to install the Python extension

Open ghost opened this issue 7 years ago • 3 comments

Hi, I'm looking for help for installing S4 as a Python extension. When I run make S4_pyext I get a long series of warnings and the error error: command 'x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc' failed with exit status 1. Any ideas how to solve it?

I managed somehow by using this fork.

Did you modify any file of the fork? I downloaded it, but i'm still getting the same error. Even if it seems to do more than with the one provided by them.

I have a fork that has fixed a few crucial bugs and works with Python 3. It’s actually a fork of a fork. Just check my profile, should compile with no problems if you have the dependencies installed.
