Could S4 do interference simulation?

I just want to simulate interference with and without structure. I just want to get the transmittance after interference. Is it possible by using S4?

I try to run simulation first with structure and take all filed at certain region. And then, I run simulation without structure and take all filed at same region also. But I can get the normalized transmittance. I could not use the filed results to get the transmittance. Could you help me to figure it out?

Like, could you explain how to use filed results to calculate the transmittance what we did with S4 directly. Thanks for your help!
