Same as :wq or :x (both of which I was actually unaware of. Been using ZZ all my life. I even played ZZ Top videos to help students remember it.)

As the title says inputs like '/' or 'ctrl-o' etc. trigger their respective browser shortcuts on Firefox. This keeps interrupting sessions. Edge has the same problem.
