App won't open anymore

Open rinnarii opened this issue 9 months ago • 5 comments

Describe the bug The app won't function anymore. No matter how many times I restart the app and my phone.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open app
  2. App logo appears
  3. Black screen

Expected behavior I expect it to launch properly.

Screenshots It's just a black screen, nothing interactable at all.

Smartphone Information

  • Device: Infinix Note 30 4G
  • OS: Android 14
  • App version 0.6.0

Additional context I think all of this rooted from my missed alarms and the phone being inconsistent with notifications and triggering the alarms itself. I'm not sure if the alarm actually triggered that time, since days before I woke up earlier than the alarm and my phone didn't trigger the alarm at all. Even though I had done all the practices to let the app work on the background, it still ignores the rules and won't let the app function properly. Now I think the app bricked itself after several times of not functioning properly. I had to clear the app data just to make it work again. However, I have now resorted back to the default clock app since that one works. I think it's my phone brand's operating system's fault that other clock apps don't work properly.

I had this issue recently. I tried clearing my cache and data, and it booted after that.

I had this issue recently. I tried clearing my cache and data, and it booted after that.

I have experienced this multiple times, and the worst part is that alarms do not go off (for example, everything is fine in evening when setting up alarms, and the application hangs up before the next alarm). Sometimes it is enough to just force-stop the application (and probably clearing cache as well), but sometimes also the application data has to be cleared / application reinstalled to make it usable again.

Luckily the export/backup functionality is present, so the app can be brought back in the desired state in no time.

This issue probably is a duplicate of #408, which in turn is a duplicate of #406.
