Post list intermittently blank for several seconds

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Turn on "Don't keep activities" in Developer Options
  2. Shut down server
  3. Pause / resume post list several times
  4. Notice the list is blank for several seconds (until the request times out, I assume)

Solution: display a progress bar of some sort while the response / timeout is awaited. Related to #105.
