How can I add an extra sequence to graph?
Now I have a subgraph and some other sequences like other samples. I want to augment these samples to the graph to build a larger and more complete graph. How can I do that? Anyone can help? Thanks!
If the sequences are short and accurate you might be able to align them with, say, vg giraffe to get GAM files, and then use vg augment to add them into the graph. But that would lose any haplotype information, or at least make you take it through a non-compressed format.
We don't really have tools in vg right now for adding whole new samples to the graph; for the HPRC project we've gone back to the assemblies and remade the graph from scratch every time we've added new data.
