Phone Complaints

Open Kurfursten opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

If I click make a call, why don't I automatically pick up the phone if it's on the hook? Or alternatively, send a warning at that stage that I can't call until I pick up the receiver, don't make me go through 2 menus to just popup that you gotta pick up the receiver. Generally speaking, the back button on this screen (also for line busy) should go back to the 'dial' screen so that you can redial faster.

The phone seems to become very confused if you get line busy then dial another line instead of hanging up

Sometimes a phone will simply stop ringing when called permanently(?) - I am unsure of the circumstances that caused this.

Sometimes the phone simply doesn't update the call log after you speak, and often when the other party hangs up

Should probably be a way to turn off receiving calls/unplug; it would be nice if you could build them too

was it still shaking? it's possible that you were hearing another phone from far away and it overwrote the sound

done in #36098

line busy then dial another line

done

doesn't update the call log

very hard to debug because updateusrdialog updates the last window you clicked a link on, not the one you opened last but it should be done

turn off receiving calls/unplug

you can turn the ringer off, do you want me to add a way to disable the phone entirely?

you can turn the ringer off

Oh that's fine then, I didn't notice

was it still shaking?

It was not shaking. I am not sure what caused this, and maybe it was because there was an explosion in that office. Details are extremely sketchy, but the HoP office was bombed and when I tried to call after that the RC did not react at all, no sound or shake. The receiver was not destroyed because I went by later to investigate and was able to pick it up. I didn't think to see if the wire was intact. This one will definitely require more investigation.
