Grue Rework
Grues now have a number attached to the end to distinguish them from each other. :cl:
- rscadd: Grues now have numbers in their names akin to monkeys that remain constant, allowing grues to be distinguished from each other.
The Grue Hivemind will never bend the knee to the coders.
Don't you want to build up a name where people know that it's Grue (391) that has killed 7 different people and is a very dangerous specimen?
I'd say the lack of independent name helps to foster the paranoia, you don't know if that grue adult is the gigafuckman wallsmashing grue or just a grue that just became an adult, so you gotta be careful.
Name 5 times this happened
Name 5 times this happened
The last 2 or 3 times I've dealt with grues and thought the rapemonster next to botany was one of the teens mentioned by the crew and ended up massacred by the fuckman grue are a good example of the benefits of lacking a name, but I can't really give you many examples, as I've only seen a handful of grue rounds due to both playing on lowerpop (net sucks during highpop time) and not playing as often lately.
good PR, though rework feels a bit strong a title
@Eneocho I dunno, I still want to give its iteration a try but I get where you're coming from @PrimeDSS13 Intentional.
Just so you're aware, when grues die, they resume their humanoid identity, rather than grue identity. Does this fix that issue? Think it should
When grues die they show up as "grue" in deadchat if that's what you're wondering (although with the change they'll show up with the number too)
@adacovsk So I've noticed what you're referring to for the first time and it happens as a result of midround joiners becoming grues, this PR does not fix it but I might make a PR that will fix it.
