Synchronize sharepoint folder to local filesystem

Dear Community,

I want to synchronize a specific folder of the sharepoint server to my local filesystem with this Office365-REST-Python-Client. At the moment the struggle is very big, because worked on a own solution for synchonizing recursively. Anyone got some advice reaching that goal?
