Gesture transitions between tabs
Feature description
Some gestures to easily navigate tabs.
(Maybe swiping left and right to switch tabs? Though this would look slightly odd for a vertical layout)
Why do you want this feature?
Navigating tabs in one hand would be nice.

The horizontal swipe definitely looks off. Maybe some sort of vertical swipe triggered by an horizontal swipe first.
I propose up and down gestures on the side tab bar
No offense but that would be useless and counterintuitive given that the goal is to make the app more usable in one hand. Gestures on the side bar won't change a thing, basically like clicking the tabs. Gestures are mkre suitable in the heart of the screen. @vfsfitvnm's suggestion is not a bad idea I think.

none taken! I do feel you misunderstood what I meant though. (I was rather tired when I originally typed the suggestion)
I intended to say that there should be vertical gestures on the bottom of the tab bar.

Let's say hypothetically there are gestures there. And let's also suppose that I want to navigate the app with my right hand only. Wouldn't it be a struggle to reach it with my thumb?
The thumb may reach the bottom-right corner of the screen easier than it would to reach the center-right or center-top, but it entirely depends on yours device width, thumb length and hold

very true, I believe this needs some mulling over to determine how exactly to go about this enhancement
Another option would be adding a vertical swipe gesture only to right edge of the screen. Just an idea, also I don't know how it would work with curved edge displays.
Edit: I think it could clash when reordering songs in a playlist

(As always, don't know the feasibility) What about a double tap + swipe up/down?
Double taps introduce a certain delay to detect whether there's a second tap. It would cause an annoying sense of unresponsiveness when e.g. tapping a song to play it
I have another suggestion, does anyone remember the navigation gesture pill from Android 9? We could move it right or left to navigate between tabs, can something similar be implemented in this app? This gesture would feel pretty solid with some haptic feedback.
Attaching a picture for where it could be placed (the blue scribble thing). You can choose the placement accordingly.
On the side note, i think a "pill" would look out of place in that area so you could use some other icon like an arrow or something.
You could also add an option in the setting to hide the pill in case someone doesn't wanna use it.
