Rare issue with On-demand channels: Channel doesn't stop 'playing'

Something weird happened with one of my channels. It was on-demand. Playback stopped, but it seems to have missed that the playback stopped.

"Update plex status" log kept getting repeated for a day and the channel kept moving forward.

"channel is not playing" and "pause on-demand channel" logs are missing.
