Feature Idea: Autoupdate new content in Filler, and/or Shows

Open reikitsune opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Here's the full idea. Having dizquetv automatically add new videos to current channels, and fillers. Definitely could do it for filler.

Basically have it be told to automatically add new files when it gets restarted, or have a button to click in the settings to do it. Not sure if it would be possible.

I though about it because I archive alot of commercials and would love to not have to add every new one one by one, or have to clean duplicates.

I actually want to implement this one time. It's very annoying to update filler lists. It's just that due to how the web ui works, auto update of this style needs some kinda deep changes to the core of dizquetv. But it's in the pipeline, I just need to find motivation one day.

You can do it! I believe in you! Other motivational comment!!

Just trying to give you some motivation! Haha. Seriously tho, that would be the perfect feature for me. I really only use dizqueTV to create music video channels. I use docker-lidarr-extended to auto grab music videos, and they automatically get added to Plex. So being able to select a library/artist/genre/collection from Plex when creating a filler list and then having that auto update (maybe periodically scan/add every "X" hours/days?) would be the perfect functionality. It's only the last part that's missing from the workflow.

Totally understand the hesitance in wanting to make some big changes, and also time! Thanks for the great work so far.

Don't suppose there's been any work or any other thoughts on this?
