Xvid Videos Cannot Be Played By DizqueTV

It appears that any time an xvid file is included in a channel, DizqueTV outputs a "this stream is having technical difficulties" error. This happens whether the channel is being played through Plex or VLC. As a test, I created a channel with nothing but various xvid video files and they all fail to play repeatedly.

I attempted to add xvid, mpeg4, m4v and mp4 to the list of supported video formats in the Plex settings in DizqueTV but nothing helped.

I guess it's ffmpeg not being able to play it.

If anything you are better off removing xvid from the plex list, so that plex transcodes it before sending it to dizquetv.

It wasn't in the Plex list originally.

EDIT: I believe the reason for this is that the version of ffmpeg that Ubuntu is shipping does not support libxvid by default. Looking to replace it and see what I get.

Looks like the version of ffmpeg included in ubuntu does indeed include support for libxvidcore but still seems like xvid videos fail to play.
