"[WinError 87] The parameter is incorrect" for all options but quick view

I tried to run a simple correction with an input DEM saved in GeoTiff format with the WGS 84 EPSG:4326. The process started to run then quit with the error in the title "[WinError 87] The parameter is incorrect"

I can run quick view successfully, but only if it is the first time I've run Vertical Photo Placer after opening up a fresh QGIS instance. If I run quick view once successfully then move to another folder I again get [WinError 87].
