Monorepo handbook feedback
@mattpocock This thing is awesome! The community is going to love this! Such good work!
My nits:
-
Missing from the “Sharing Code” page for me is “When/Why to Share Code.”
-
I would have liked to have seen here just a one-liner to call out “TypeScript has to get transpiled to be consumed by an app. Let’s take a look at that process.” or something to that effect.
-
Reading Testing, I found myself wondering “Can I put my testing libraries in a shared package and share them around so I know I have the same version throughout my monorepo?” Kinda going back to the “When/Why to Share Code”
-
More general note: Vercel Style Guide prefers emdashes (i.e. — ) over regular dashes (i.e. - )
I’d mention here] that "turbo run dev" is going to look through all your workspaces and run all your package.json dev scripts.
I’d probably do "The fact is…" as "The good news is…".
Sorry again for not having time to submit a PR!
