Failed to run on Windows

On my Windows 10 PowerShell it says my project is not Git repository where it is.

PS D:\my-project> release
Error! Directory is not a Git repository.

After digging it a little bit I found it is caused by tagged-version and post an issue there, see the link below. https://github.com/ikhemissi/tagged-versions/issues/22

This issue is almost completing 3 years (exactly 1 month) and I'm getting the same error. 12 likes. Is there any workaround?
