Opened volume on SMB share is not reliably restored after suspend-to-disk

Opened VeraCrypt volumes often cannot be accessed after waking up from suspend-to-disk if they are stored on an SMB share and accessed over Wi-Fi.

On Windows 10, VeraCrypt (currently version 1.25.4) has been struggling with this issue for several years.
