Corsican language no longer properly displayed after upgrading to 1.26.24
Hello,
My computer is using a French Windows 10 Family 22H2 64 bits and the language setting preferences are Corsican, then French. I use VeraCrypt in Corsican and everything was correct with VeraCrypt 1.26.7.
I upgraded VeraCrypt to 1.26.24 and the User Interface is no longer correct: a mix of languages is now displayed!
If I set up Corsican as Language in VeraCrypt, the menu headers are correct but not the menu options; the buttons are all in French (excepted the Mount) and the taskbar options are correct.
If I set up French as Language, everything is correct.
If I set up English as Language, everything is correct.
If I set up again Corsican as Language in VeraCrypt, the menu headers are correct but not the menu options; the buttons are all in English (excepted the Mount) and the taskbar options are correct.
I checked the configuration, AppData and C:\Program Files directories but didn't find any obsolete stuff. I uninstalled VeraCrypt and reinstalled it, once using the .msi file and another time using the .exe file but the problem is still alive!
So your help will be really appreciated ;-)
Best regards, Patriccollu.
Salut,
nothing wrong with Corsican language setting here.
Seems the bug is somewhere in your system. 💻 🐛 👀 I'm not so familiar with Windows anymore, but isn't there also a global setting for the preferred language? Have you checked this?
Hi @bugtracker2019,
Thanks for your test.
I just upgraded VeraCrypt from version 1.26.3 to 1.26.24 on another computer with the same Windows environment and the problem is exactly the same!
Actually, if I select Corsican as Language in VeraCrypt, I get a mix of Corsican and the language previously selected!
If I select any other language in VeraCrypt, everything is correct.
Patriccollu.
@idrassi Hi Mounir,
Do you have an idea to fix this 'strange' problem?
Thanks, Patriccollu.
