Destination directory should be checked _first_

Open LinuxOnTheDesktop opened this issue 7 months ago • 0 comments

Expected behavior

When I enter an invalid destination path for a Veracrypt file, I expected to be told so - told the path is invalid - before I go through the whole wizard, including the lengthy and tiresome mouse movement part of the wizard. I do not expect to have to go through all that again if (say?) I include a slash at the end of the directory path.

Observed behavior

I entered a path to a directory as the path to the directory in which the volume should be created. Then I had to do everything again.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enter a path to a directory as the path to the directory in which the volume should be created, where that path contains a trailing slash.
  2. Proceed through the wizard.
  3. Get a somewhat cryptic error message.
  4. Go through 1-2 again, hoping that 4 will not reoccur.
