Mounted volume is mounted for 2 sec, then is unmounted and disappear from mounts.

The mounted folder in the OS (Zorin 17.1), AND mounted volume just disappear from Veracrypt, 2 sec after being mounted properly.

Expected behavior

The volume stay mounted ?

Observed behavior

Auto unmount 2 sec after mounting

Steps to reproduce

Juts mounting a volume like a i always do.

Your Environment

VeraCrypt version: 1.26.7 for ubuntu 22.04 (deb)

Operating system and version: Zorin Core 17.1

System type: 64-bit

EDIT : no issue if i run veracrypt with sudo, but it's not normal according to my multiples years of usage of vc.

Can you run VeraCrypt through terminal to see if anything is printed to it? Does it prompt you for an administrator password when mounting? Can you try enabling "Do not mount" under filesystem in the advanced mount options and see if it behaves any different?

Hi, nothing printed in to terminal. I've tried verbose mode, nothing more. Yes i'm prompted for admin password after putting volume password. I tried "do not mount" option : same behavior, the volume appears in veracrypt tables then disappear after 2/3 sec.

Hey @KinkGD, I'm having the exact same issue (v1.24.14, Linux Mint 21). Did you find a fix for this?

Hey @maxzera, launch veracrypt as sudo, only way :(

2 versions have been commited and released since i opened this topic, but the issue is still here :(

How can I launch the GUI version in sudo? Doing this solves the issue?

Hi, i have the same issue.

I've tried it and it works, @maxzera just open terminal and run : sudo veracrypt

It just let you use the software without this annoying bug, mounted volume remain mounted and the UI doesn't crash.

But this remains a bug, we shouldn't run it as sudo, and veracrypt was working like charm before..
