Could not read EFI error
Description
Hi,
- I installed
elementaryOS
on a.vhd
file and I tried booting it from Ventoy. - It returns with
System BootOrder not found. Initializing defaults.
Could not read \EFI\: Invalid Parameter
Error: could not find boot options: Invalid Parameter
start_image() returned Invalid Parameter
- And repeats itself for 3 times until it goes back to Ventoy screen.
To Reproduce
- Install OpenCore bootloader.
- Install
elementaryOS
withVirtualBox
- Enable
EFI
inVirtualBox
settings. - Boot a
elementaryOS
from a.vhd.vtoy
file.
UEFI Settings
- Fast boot disabled
- Secure boot disabled
Additional information
-
dmsetup
andgrub-pc-bin
installed. -
vtoyboot.sh
installed. - Booted Ventoy from OpenCore bootloader, if that makes a difference
Works if booting directly from system boot menu instead of Opencore, but I think this issue shouldn't be ignored because booting from Opencore makes it a bit easier.
