Describe the issue
Hello Longpanda and Ventoy Team, I am using iVentoy Free Edition (v1.0.21) for PXE booting in our university’s IT lab. Everything works fine with ISO and WIM files, but I’m testing whether upgrading to iVentoy Pro would solve certain limitations I’ve encountered in the Free Edition.
What I’d like to confirm before purchasing:
Does iVentoy Pro fully support booting directly from VHDX, VHD, and IMG files (without converting them into ISO wrappers)?
Is persistent boot support (for Windows To Go or Linux persistent sessions) available in the Pro Edition?
Does the Pro version include advanced configuration options (like iventoy.json) and VimBoot features?
My Current Setup:
Version: iVentoy v1.0.21 (Free Edition)
ISO directory: /opt/iventoy-1.0.21/iso/
PXE mode: UEFI (tested on multiple Intel/NVIDIA systems)
All .iso files boot correctly.
.vhdx and .img files are not detected or fail with x64.efi not found error.
Notes:
The same .vhdx files boot perfectly from a standard USB drive prepared with Ventoy.
I would like to know whether these formats (VHDX/IMG) and persistence are officially supported in iVentoy Pro before upgrading.
System Info
Server OS: Linux Mint 22.2 (Ubuntu-based)
Clients: Mixed UEFI systems (Intel + NVIDIA)
Network: DHCP enabled (default proxy mode)
